Meet Heather Ruberl,
Senior Economist, Climate and Fiscal Policy
Heather has expertise in macroeconomic modelling, fiscal policy and climate change, with over 10 years’ experience working at the Australian Treasury and the World Bank. Known for her clear communication, Heather distils complex data analyses into accessible reports and effective, practical policy guidance.
Heather applies economic frameworks and quantitative modelling to help shape policy decisions for a wide range of stakeholders. At the World Bank her primary specialisation was analysing the economic impacts of climate events and climate change and conducting cost-benefit analyses of policy responses such as adaptation investments and energy systems transformation. Heather has also conducted data analysis and modelling on fiscal reform, labour market policy and trade impacts of global events for countries across Africa, Asia and South America.
Heather holds a Masters of Macroeconomics and Financial Markets from the Barcelona School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Economics (with honours) from Monash University.
