Meet Aalya Sukkarieh,
Economic Policy Analyst
Aalya is an Analyst at Equity Economics, specialising in Economic Policy. She began a 3-month internship with Equity in August 2021, during which she provided statistical and research support for various projects in both the domestic and international space.
She has continued this work with the team in her new role since then, and is very passionate about development economics and social business.
Aalya is in her third year of an undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney where she is majoring in Economics and Econometrics in the pre-Honours stream. She is also a Dalyell Scholar at the University of Sydney, and a recipient of the Australian Defence Force Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Award.
